Thanks for stopping by

A couple of weeks ago, I shot with @therestorationhotel in Downtown Charleston. If you all remember, the hotel hosted my 23rd Birthday dinner at their rooftop restaurant and bar, The Watch. If you missed the post, you can read it here. If you haven’t checked out the restaurant, you probably should stop by and try all of their delicious dishes! This time, it was all about the details from the Restoration’s carefully curated shop, The Port Mercantile.

Now, I can only imagine what you all are thinking, “aren’t you the BOW TIE gent?” Well, yea, but Men’s fashion in general is what my platform is all about. For this shoot, we focused on the Port’s awesome collection of neckwear, eyewear, and wrist wear for gentlemen. This particular post features a “Matte Tobacco” Look. A name seemed so striking…and stolen from the name of the great sunglasses in the shoot!

So lets shop my look…

NeckWear:

This handmade tie comes straight from Brooklyn, New York.  This madras tie is from Jacques-Elliott (@jacques_elliott). You can definitely tell that the menswear brand is rooted in music and subculture. All the styling, editorial, and creative direction is done by Elliot Aronow (@iamaronow). The brand is known for making “the perfect tie.” I think they have done a pretty good job! Make sure to come back and check out the other ties from the shoot.

Wrist wear:

The cuffs and bracelets come from a design house where their story is as incredible as their pieces. Giles & Brother (@gilesandbrother) is the collaboration between a brother and a sister who hold American craftsmanship as the center of their business. Each of Philip and Courtney Giles’ pieces tell a story and reveal the hands that made it. Their collections are pioneers in the industry and have been changing the conversation about fashion jewelry since 2001. The New York-based Design house has been featured in several major publications, has won numerous awards, and Philip has designed pieces for some big names..and don’t let me forget, he is also a board director for the CFDA.

I am honestly obsessed with several of the pieces from their jewelry link.  They make for the perfect accessory and addition to this fall’s wardrobe. They are also great if you are looking for that signature piece to wear with everything. Check out the pieces that I am wearing here and here.

Eyewear:

Finally, lets talk about another obsession of mine, sunglasses. Specifically, sunglasses from Krewe (@kreweduoptic), a New Orleans brand that invokes the spirit of creative collaboration. The sunglass brand was founded in 2013 by Stirling Barrett. His vision of New Orleans as a thriving cultural hub inspires the company to celebrate individual style, one frame a time. You can see more styles from Krewe featured in my most recent blog posts! Check out these Matte Tobacco frames here and stay tuned as I can not wait to snag my next pair!
