Thanks for stopping by

Yes, the first day of Fall has already happened, but for some of us, the temperatures haven’t quite set in. Don’t get me wrong, I love living in Charleston, but I am 1000% ready for the temperatures to start falling. I want to pull the cobwebs of the door handle and access my Fall Closet while not feeling judged for wearing out my quilted vests or fall boots. Luckily, we had a cool day in Charleston and no one had to ask me twice about stepping out in some Fall staples. All these pieces are great as we are in that awkward transition stage into Fall and will be great pieces to have as the season continues.

Vests, Vests, and more Vests!

So it may not be chilly enough for a coat, but theres definitely a light breeze or the temperature at night is definitely dropping. Whatever your excuse has to be to get yourself in a vest, use it! They are the perfect piece to help elevate your outfit, while keeping you warm. Plus, they’re perfect for layering. Add a scarf to stay a little warmer or wear them over a great sweater. In my case, I placed my Barbour Quilted Vest over a Southern Tide button down to keep that casual professional look. This way, I am professional enough for meeting with clients, but casual enough to make it to happy hour with friends.

Walk a [Fall] mile in these Boots

Time to put away the flip flops and upgrade your kick game. One of the Fall trends from last year is coming back and its bigger than ever! Thats right guys, you all need (several pairs) boots! Keep it simple and grab a great pair of Chelsea boots or go my route and pick up the perfect wing tip boot. I’ve had this Cole Haan pair since last season and I wear them everywhere. Don’t be afraid to get them a little roughed up, the distressed look is definitely in! My recommendation for this season is to invest in the perfect camel boot! Think of it is as a neutral that will go with everything! I’ve had my eye on these YSL boots and can not wait for them to make it into my closet.

Denim & Accessories

If you follow me on Snapchat, you know I have had a journey finding the perfect fitting pair of denim. Yes, there are those obvious ones, but I wanted to make sure the pair of jeans I added to my wardrobe for the season fit well and were friendly to everyone’s wallet. My two suggestions for fall are both from GAP. They’re slim fit dark denim and (winter) white denim are the perfect fit. I am not ashamed to say that the boy who once didn’t own a single pair of jeans, now owns 6 pairs of GAP jeans and…wait for it…9, yes 9 pairs of white denim. NO SHAME.

Next, focus on the details. The details are everything. Make sure that you are accessorizing your outfits in the best way possible. Don’t over do it. Just pic a couple of pieces that will stand out and work well with your look. I’ve always enjoyed needlepoint items so I jumped at the opportunity to work with Asher Riley and get my hands on this nauti watch strap. My Peter Millar belt has been in my closet for about 2 years and I constantly wear it. So find a good watch and strap, a great belt, and a few other accessories to make yours this season.

Until next time…
